God honors specific prayer;
And so, to exercise the faith He has given me,
I pray these ten things for you:
- I pray that the most important event of your day will be spending time with the LORD. (Exodus 33:7-11; 34:29-35; Luke 5:15-16)
- I pray He would enable you to hear His clear, specific, and personal voice. (Isaiah 30: 20-21)
- I pray that you would protect the quiet areas of your life and that you would revel in silence. (Mark 1:35; 6:30-32; Psalm 62:5-8)
- I pray that He would inspire you to keep your eyes pure and your mind sharpened. (Matthew 5:8; Philippians 4:8)
- I that you will be a faith-filled doer of the Word and that the application of your spiritual gift will enable the body of Christ to mature. (Matthew 7:24-27; James 1:22; Hebrews 5:14-6:1)
- I pray that you would daily sow seeds of faith, obedience and self-denial that Christ may live through you resulting in an harvest of assurance, joy and true humility. (Hebrews 11:1)
- I pray that your love may be genuine, fervent, unconditional and fearless! (Romans 12:9; 2Cor. 6:6; 1Peter 1:22-25; Colossians 3:12-17, I John 4:18-21)
- I pray that you will keep your focus on Heaven your true home. (Ephesians 1:15-23, esp. vs. 18)
- I pray that your words will be seasoned for the glory of God and for the edification of all who hear. (Proverbs 6:16-19; Colossians 4:6)
- I pray that you will strive for all the crowns listed in Scripture that you might not be ashamed of His Coming and that you will have many crowns to cast at His feet. (Luke 9:26; Philippians 3:14; Revelation 3:11;4:10)
