Taste And See That The Lord Is Good

Worship God for how He rescued you.
Psalm 107
In this life, we will undoubtedly face various troubles.
Some are difficulties we can surmount with ingenuity and the passing of time. Some trials require the aid of a trusted friend. Yet there are other dire circumstances from which we need deliverance, and only God can rescue us.
I can think back to a time in my young existence when I was entrapped in darkness, not knowing how it could destroy both body and soul. God sent some exceptional believers, followers of Jesus, to confront me and point me to God’s narrow pathway of life and light. Sharing the gospel when I didn’t know my need was fundamental to show me that there is a way that seems right, yet it only leads to death. I was in a pit, a pit of despair and danger from which only God could lift me out. God revealed my desperation through His Holy Spirit and made it clear I needed a Saviour, Jesus Christ, to redeem me.
Psalm 107 begins with the phrase, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever.” We can give thanks because God’s character is consistent. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever; nothing will dissipate His everlasting love for us.
I have continued on this walk of faith with God by my side, holding my hand for more than 46 years, and I have no desire to return to the emptiness that once imprisoned me. With a grate~FULL heart, I offer God enduring praise because every single day, for He is worth it!

***NOTE: This month is my spiritual birthday in Jesus.
I surrendered to the Lord 46 years ago!
Praise God for His Holy Spirit, who has enabled me
to walk consistently with Him ever since!
