Taste And See That The Lord Is Good

Give thanks for one way God provides.
Psalm 34
Every day, we have choices: what we will do, where we will go, and what clothes to wear.
Decisions that we take for granted. Have you ever stopped to recognize that everything is a gift from God? Every breath you take is His provision for you. Moment by moment, our heart beats, giving us life. All of this is from God.
Make a list of the many ways God provides for you each day.
A few things I am grateful for each day are:
- A warm bed to sleep in and that I can sleep in peace
- Healthful foods to enjoy
- A family who loves me
- A loving weekly gathering of followers of Jesus where I can learn more about God
- Most importantly, I will have eternal security; I know I will live with God forever because of His most excellent provision, Jesus, through whom we all forgive our sins and can enjoy peace with God.
When we are grateful for what we have, we grow in contentment. Counting our blessings guards our hearts from envying others or focusing on material things that do not satisfy us.
Each day, thank God for His gracious blessings. Write these down, and yowill see how the list grows, and your gratitude for your thanks~blessings from God increases daily.
To taste and see, as the above verse says, is to experience with all your senses how wonderful God is. Many verses in Psalm 34 are full of comfort and display that God is a God of relationships. He desires us to spend time with Him and to not only know Him but also become like Him.

God is there, waiting to be discovered by you.
