Taste And See That The Lord Is Good

Praise God that everything He has created is good.
1 Timothy 4:4-5
Time has its limits, and Eternity is unbound. As followers of Christ, we are promised a future and hope to live with God forever in His heaven. Yet, for now, we are within the boundaries of time. The beauty of the earth shows God’s artistry and mastery. Everything that God created is good. There are treasures to be discovered and enjoyed all around us.
He daily provides for our needs: sunshine and rain, seasons and festivals, and precious connections with family and friends. We can be renewed and refreshed through all that God has created. How we use these blessings is a choice. We must remember that Creator God has blessed us to be a blessing to others. Have you ever had an unexpected gift and puzzled what to do with it? Perhaps God blesses you and allows you to pass on encouragement and joy to someone else. One of the best ways to encourage someone is to spend time with them and offer a heartfelt gift. The gift doesn’t have to be store-bought; it can be a sumptuous meal, an artfully drawn picture, or a tasty homemade treat. Consider your gifts, talents, abilities, and how you might build someone up. More significantly, how can you bring J~O~Y to God’s heart by using these capabilities?
One of the best ways we can honour the Everlasting God is to sing praises to Him. We can lift a song or a hymn or make up words that express the gratefulness of our hearts. We bless God when we turn our eyes towards Him and remember Who He is and What He has done. He is faithful and good. He is worthy of all the praise we can give Him and more!
We can never out-give God, but we can acknowledge Him daily and present a sacrifice of praise. Our devotion to God also blesses us, for we remind ourselves that God is great and that nothing we face surprises Him.
Stop right now and, in prayerful recognition, list how God has been good to you today, this week, this month, and this year. God makes life possible; our very breath is from Him. Because our Almighty Father is good and loves us so much, He sent His very best.
Jesus the Messiah came to live among us and show us the Father. He also came to redeem our lives from the entanglement of sin and provide a way to escape sin’s punishment, death, before a holy and righteous Judge. That good news is the gospel and is offered to any who would believe. Praise God for His goodness and for His personal notice of each of us.\
