Shout HALLELUJAH! For God Reigns!
Revelation 19:6

6 Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder:
“Praise the Lord!
For the Lord our God, the Almighty reigns.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice,
and let us give honor to him.
For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb,
and his bride has prepared herself.
8 She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.”
For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people.
9 And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” And he added, “These are true words that come from God.” ~ Revelation 19:6-9
Time will soon end, and heaven and earth as we know them will also end. We are all on this journey towards eternity. The grand crescendo of all creation will be when we shall all see God as He truly is. One day, the Meistro Creator, the Conductor of all this life, will bring everything to Himself for a unique event. We shall see God face to face.
This month, November 2024, has been exceptional as I have daily penned my gratitude to our faithful God. I have paused to study specific Scriptures in the Bible, thoughtfully pondered their meaning, and sought to apply each of them to my life practically. I have been transformed significantly, with a brighter viewpoint and a profound appreciation for small and big things. The verses in the Bible I have highlighted have given me greater insight into the excellent character of God. It is reinforced in my soul that God is God, and there is no other; He cannot be compared to any person or anything.
Being grateful and thankful is fulfilling God’s will and doing what pleases Him. This daily practice of listing my blessings, both the needed and the unexpected, is a gift that blesses me, others, and God.
It blesses me because I grow in my awareness and dependency on God. I realize He is more powerful than any trouble I may face and that He will not abandon me but hold my hand to the end of a trial, teaching me significant truths I can treasure.
Exercising this spiritual discipline of gratitude also blesses other people, for my eyes are open to each person’s uniqueness and potential. When I verbally express thankfulness, I state that I value you, I see you, and that you are essential. Kindness can be the subtle power to shift the angriest of hearts. Kindness can build up the weak and deeply wounded. And when I am being thankful and kind, I obey God’s second command to be kind and to love others as I love myself.
The supreme effect of gratitude is that I bless not only myself and others, but I choose to bless God. Blessing God means I acknowledge Who He is. I lovingly embrace all of His characteristics, even if I don’t fully comprehend His vastness. To know God is to love Him because God is love.
Do you want to become your best self?
Be grateful.
Count your blessings daily.
Express your thanksgiving verbally to God and to others.
And seek God’s face.
One day, your life will end. And one day, you will stand before the Living and Holy God. Make it your priority to know God, to read His words in the Bible, and to become more like Him as you explore His character and consider His faithful and mighty acts throughout history. Your history will end one day, but History is really His~Story that Almighty God has been writing before time began. His~Story will go on for all eternity!
The grand celebration of all His~Story will be a wedding feast when God gathers His children around His table to dwell with Him and enjoy Him forever more. It will celebrate what Jesus the Messiah has done and be a Coronation Feast as all creation bows to His Kingly authority. But to those who have not sought God or have rejected Him, they will be dismissed for eternity without joy, without hope, and without love.
While the second greatest commandment is to love others, Jesus said the greatest commandment is to LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, and all your strength.
To love God with all your heart, admit your sin and your need for a Saviour.
To love God with all your mind, read the Bible daily to be transformed.
To love God with all your soul, have daily conversations with God through prayer.
And to love God with all your strength, commit every day to Him, and seek to honour Him with your thoughts, words, actions, and motives.
Love God in all these ways until you see Him face to face.
BLESSINGS to you!
